Hi Brenton,
Thank you so much for the donation and the excellent idea on the ‘Primates Guardian’ concept. I will discuss this with my team on the ground and we will give you a feedback ASAP. We will make sure that the Primate Guardian will be able to blog and as well as updating you directly on his progress via email.
Once again, thank you for supporting the conservation of the Endangered Mt Uarges Guereza and by extension the de Brazza’s monkey.

Dear Iregi,
I have donated US$600.00 for the first six months wages for your scout to help protect the Mt Uarges Guereza. You have my email address, if you would like to inform me more about the scout whom I am sponsoring and the programme itself.
Just a thought. Perhaps you could call the scouts, ‘Primate Guardians’, seeing the growing success of the Lion Guardians programme. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Brenton,

Glad to see your comment again. The scout’s monthly wages $ 100. This includes costs related to patrols in their area of operation. We hope to put a scout in each habitat that is under considerable threat from man, particularly for Endangered Mt Uarges guereza which is poached for its skin by the locals.

Thanks for your latest blog. I am sorry I didnt see your meassage that you left for me in the previous post. How much per month is your scout’s wages? I may be able to contribute to this important aspect, to help conserve the very rare primates

Hi Brenton,

Thank you for your comments on this blog (I still remember your comment on 6 months ago). We scaled down the project activities when I went for a post-graduate course last year. I have now finished the course and revamped the project activities on the ground. Currently, we need money to pay our scout who continues monitoring the de Brazza’s monkey and the Engangered Colobus guereza percivali. This is not catered for in the RSG Grant which focuses on education. We appreciate any support towards his wages.
